150 Students Watch “The Coddling” Movie *on a Friday Night*
Cal Poly San Luis Obispo Screening Recap
Screening problematic films on college campuses can deliver great rewards and great frustrations.
But there are times when everything comes together. Last week’s screening at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo was one of those times: 150 undergrads packed a screening room to capacity to watch The Coddling of the American Mind!
This happened on a Friday night!
Courtney and I and all of Team Coddling Movie are grateful to our hosts—three professors who knocked it out of the park: Chris Carr, Brian Kennelly, and Jenn Yost!
Not only did they put on an excellent event, they documented it with photos and videos.
Every time I get depressed about the state of American higher ed, I’m going to take another look at these images of Gen Zers waiting in a long, winding line, waving, and giving “thumbs up.”
