Princeton Screening Recap (Columbia Screening Postponed)
What happened when “The Coddling” Movie went to campus
What a time to be screening a free speech film on Ivy League campuses!
Before heading to Princeton, we had just screened at Harvard and Cornell (as well as non-Ivies Wake Forest, the University of Toronto, and a special screening in New York with Jonathan Haidt). We were scheduled to screen at Columbia this week, but with all the recent madness there, that wasn’t going to happen.
Actually, our screening was postponed (yet again) even before the recent upheaval. The local Heterodox Academy members organizing our Columbia screening have experienced ongoing problems with securing a date and an on-campus venue. They chalk it up to bureaucracy, not censorship.
Anyhow, screening #41 is in the books!
The Princeton University screening also happens to be the last screening of this trip. But the Coddling Global Tour has many more screenings on the horizon, including our first in Australia.
Now for some thank yous …
You know him and love him from the movie, and Courtney and I were so happy that Saeed Malami could join us again for the Q&A at Princeton.
Thank you to Kaleigh Cunningham and everyone at Princetonians for Free Speech, as well as everyone at Whig-Clio (the oldest debating organization in the US!), especially our student hosts Anuj Krishnan, Myles McKnight, Khoa Sands, and Daniel Shaw.
